Vjandep, the brand popularly known for their mouthwatering pastel, used to operate a restaurant in Mambajao, Camiguin. Called Kan-anan sa Parola, it was strategically located beside the old lighthouse, which is just a few steps away from the public market and the town center. The restaurant was lauded for serving delicious Pinoy food at highly affordable prices and for its relaxing ambience. A few months ago, however, people were disappointed to see that the restaurant has been closed down.
But all hope wasn’t lost for those who’ve once sampled the fare at the restaurant and wish for a repeat of the experience. When the owners closed the restaurant, they did so with a promise: They will be back, better than ever! They hinted that they are looking for a new location and will most likely give the restaurant a new name, but they won’t be gone for too long.
Just this month, that promise has finally been fulfilled! Samuel by Vjandep had its soft opening last October 18, 2015. The opening was celebrated with a dinner buffet from six o’clock in the evening to nine o’clock at night. Those who’ve been waiting for Vjandep’s restaurant to re-open for months were only too happy to get the chance to join in the celebration. Where else could you find a sumptuous buffet for only PHP200?
Samuel’s Pop-Up Dinner
That’s not all! The celebration continued with a Pop-up Dinner Event on October 23 and 24. For only PHP800 (PHP750 each if you buy 3 or more tickets), guests enjoyed a real fine dining experience under the stars. A sunset cocktail, a new menu, delectable dishes prepared by some of the finest chefs you’ll ever find—perfect for a romantic night out or for having quality time with the family!
So, what are you waiting for? If you missed Kan-anan sa Parola, book your Camiguin trip now and relive your wonderful experience at Samuel by Vjandep. One thing’s for sure, the restaurant management sure knows how to keep a promise. They said they’ll be back even better than before, and they most definitely are.
